Forging connections at the India-UK Tech Summit

Leeds DEC will be represented at this year’s India-UK Tech Summit, due to take place in New Delhi in November.

The Summit aims to promote collaboration between the UK and India and draws together a huge range of speakers from politics, business, education and healthcare to explore partnerships in the fields of science and technology; design and education; intellectual property and innovation and entrepreneurship.

Keynote speakers from the UK will include Jo Johnson, Minister for Universities, Science, Research and Innovation, along with Carolyn Fairbairn, Director of the CBI and Rajesh Agrawal, London’s Deputy Mayor for Business.

Mike Messenger, Deputy Director of Leeds DEC, will be sharing some insights into UK developments in the field of precision medicine, as well as attending workshops and panel discussions during the summit.

“This is a great opportunity to forge new connections between the UK and India in the field of healthcare. As India’s healthcare system grows in sophistication, there will be plenty of ways in which the precision technologies being developed in the UK can benefit patients in India.”
